Prep for Baby Session

1 session / 2 hours ($300)

Set yourselves up for a MUCH EASIER transition at home with your new baby in those first hours, days and weeks by preparing in advance for baby’s sleeping, feeding, gas and looking at what kind of help you’d actually find helpful.

You’ll feel a whole lot more informed and centered with strategies, systems and support in place that we’ve created based on who you are, what you need and how you see things, rather than what all the books, blogs and best friends are saying you should do. This is SO much better than scrambling to figure things out from scratch at 2am your first night home (which is a total drag).

Topics include:

  • Sleeping – where, in what (equipment), when (theory and reality) and how (developing your systems)
  • Feeding – breast and/or bottle, feeding stations, set up, supplies, systems, supplementing, pumping, self soothing/pacifiers
  • Changing – changing stations, set up, supplies and systems
  • Gas – possible breastfeeding offenders, burping techniques, gas aides
  • Help – what you need (meals, marketing, errands, housecleaning, laundry) and where you get it (family, friends, baby nurse, postpartum doula, housecleaning service)
  • Products to have in the house (so you’re not running out at midnight to find them)
  • Additional resources – lactation consultant, massage therapist, chiropractor, acupuncturist, psychotherapist, pelvic floor physical therapist

Here We Go Again Session

…to get ready for your next birth

1 session / 2 hours ($300)

Every birth experience is different, even in the same body. In our time together, we’ll go back over what happened in your previous birth/s; looking at what worked and what did not.

We’ll cover questions you might have about the birth process itself and fill in any blanks. We’ll create custom-fit coping strategies – relaxation, breathing, medications and whatever else we come up with – based on what you already do naturally in your every day life. You’ll come away with a really clear idea of how to make this next birth the experience you want for yourselves.

  • How you’ll labor at home

The VBAC Session

1 session / 2 hours ($300)

I once had a client say when someone asked if she was trying for a VBAC, “There is no “T” (for try) in VBAC. I’m having a VBAC”. One of the biggest factors for having a VBAC is believing that you can have a VBAC and that it is SAFE for you to have a VBAC. The other big factor is having a team that believes both of those things too. I know…my 2nd and 3rd daughters were VBACs.

We’ll revisit your previous birth looking at the reason/s for your Cesarean, what your fears are, what your feelings were then and how you hold it now. We’ll get real about the facts and dispel any myths around VBAC. You’ll come away with real data, concrete strategies for labor, a clear idea of what and whom you need to feel completely supported and confident in your team and yourselves.

Try this. When asked about your upcoming birth, practice saying, “I’m having a VBAC”. We’ll fill in whatever else you need to really believe it from there.
